Is this strictly faux-medieval or could you run early black powder, Solomon Kane style stories with it? I looked at the preview on Drive thru RPG and I wasn't sure if it supported that type of play. Still, very interesting and I plan picking it up. Thanks!
Each spell has multiple effects, but the spell has to be tattooed on the body. So you learn a limited number of spells and as you grow in power it becomes harder to hide what you are.
Ended up picking this up today and am pretty hype to run some Castlevania inspired Gothic Horror solo.

Black Powder is assumed in the setting. Think early Colonial.
