The deep cuts like Brock Peters as Vader (an underrated gem), and the Archie Goodwin comics reassures me that you're doing the right thing for your creativity and your love for the storytelling.
This comes just in time for the malaise of Star Wars fans burdened by a corporotized and soulless Star Wars. I remember the days when Star Wars brought us hope. Making pulp sci fi storytelling a folk craft available to everyone will help bring that hope back.
Excellent! Unfortunately we've hit a real nadir when it comes to Star Wars popularity.
Personally, I would call it Bright Star and have it focus on the Sci-Fi that was all the way up to the point where Star wars enters the picture, just don't call it a prequel. 🤪
I haven't been able to find any info, but I remember someone announcing a Phantom Starkiller module for White Star. Does anyone have any information on that?
I'm super interested to see this iteration of WS. I know you are busy but if you take suggestions, I would like to see more GM sections to create encounters/conflicts/situations like you had in the SW Companion. I can't say for the 2e since I have not seen it. Last idea, adding solo rules and oracle & keyword tables could expand your audience (starforged player who likes D&D mechanics)?
Sure! I''m about 3/4 through the full book and playtesting the space combat rules as they are significantly altered from what was in the original edition. We're currently talking to different artists for cover and interior pieces. It's coming along slow and steady and will get more direct focus once White Box Omnibus has been released.
One suggestion: it's nice to have tool to generate adventures (encounters, PC/NPC motivations, hex/sector crawl discovery and danger)... Having tables and procedures to generate contents would be big bonus. It could something similar to the latest Book of Options (S&W) that you know well :-) The chapter on Creating a campaign helps DM generate contents. Dragonbane also has a few tables that are quite efficient. Nothing revolutionnary, but available in the core rule book and they are well done.
Another suggestion: Having an introduction module that introduce the concept you like us to play and experience (something like the one you did for the latest S&W) with a base camp (a la village of Hommlet) would be a second bonus! IMO, it helps kickstart adventuring and makes a new rpg more complete on release. Rule books are fun and when they comes a module (with theme and tones), it's enhanced the product.

Other title options include
White Star Awakens
The Last White Star
And of course
Rise of White Star
Somehow... White Star has returned.
Your fired! 😝
Stares into the middle distance.... "There has been a White Starrening" 😉
White Star: Destiny... Yeah man, definitely look forward to seeing what you bring forth.
James, your passion is showing.

Looking forward to more White Star!
I am 100% here for it.

I just saw that I posted a similar message in July on this page... I'm rambling. :-)
I saw that the project is 3/4 completed! great news.
Any updates?

In hindsight, I think Galaxy Edition was too much game.
